Our fleet of low floor, easy access buses are operated from our main depot in Northampton. All maintenance is undertaken by our wholly owned subsidiary, Britannia Bus (support services) Ltd and is undertaken to a standard in excess of that required by the regulation and enforcement authority, the DVSA. Our vehicles undergo a rigorous maintenance procedure and are mechanically inspected down to individual component level, every 4 weeks.
New look fleet
Our bus fleet comprises of Dennis (ADL) and Optare vehicles. Since 2014, we have invested a considerable sum in upgrading our fleet, to include newer buses and to re-engineer and refurbish our older vehicles. Our fleet is now fully DDA 2015 compliant, to make our buses even easier to use by those with special needs.
Bus enthusiasts & photography
We welcome and encourage bus enthusiasts to take an interest in our vehicles and services and wherever possible, drivers will try and position vehicles or drive at a speed that helps you get the photograph you are looking for.
However, we would ask you to please help us with the following:
- Please do not use flash photography; even in daylight, a modern flash can still dazzle the driver.
- Please do not put yourself or others at risk by standing in the road
- Bus depots and bus stations will have restrictions on where you are able to walk without authorisation. Please keep only to designated walkways and areas that are accessible to the public.
We may be able to arrange depot visits for enthusiasts. Please contact our passenger services department for information.
If you have taken a photograph of one of our buses, please feel free to let us know; we will put a selection of the best ones on our website and facebook page- and properly credit you for it.
